7v7 Soccer League of Ewing - History PDF Print E-mail
The 7 v 7 Soccer League of Ewing is a competitive league that was formed in the summer of 2004.  This summer soccer league was formed to offer experienced players an opportunity to continue playing "the beautiful game" at a high level.  The League consists of two divisions  of play (Men's Advanced and Co-Ed Recreational) and competes one night a week for seven weeks plus playoffs.
ImageThe 7 v 7 Soccer League of Ewing is operated by League Commissioner Gregg Downs. Downs is closely associated with soccer in the Mercer County Area, and Ewing in particular as the former Head Coach of the Ewing High Girls Varsity Soccer Team. Downs was a part of the Ewing High program from 1994 to 2007, and has also previously coached soccer at Hopewell Valley Central High School and for the former U16 Hamilton Hype club team.  Downs now serves as the Director of Player Devleopment for the West End Soccer Association and the head coach of the West End Eagles travel soccer team.
